DARK GAIA'S PROFILE

I develop games and I write. I have a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and journalism. I like writing speculative fiction, horror and literary fiction, sometimes all blended together. You can find elements of my writing in my games, because I consider my games to be stories just that happen to have gameplay.
I post updates on my Facebook and Twitter:

Legionwood: Final Edition released!
If I remember correctly, the game brings up a tutorial tip telling you it's a good idea to gear up. That said, the cave with the bats is a level 2 area - for getting through the opening dungeon (Selatan Plains), the default equipment is enough.
Don't bother buying all the Techs, though. You'll waste your money, and the game isn't designed so that the characters can be good at everything. Only choose Techs that fit your build and try to divide them up between characters :)
See the Statistics and Character Builds tabs at the top of this page for hints!

Legionwood 2: Rise of the Eternal's Realm
Well, THAT's a weird bug. Did it happen just once, or can you reproduce it? I'll pass the information on to the scripter of the battle system - the updated version still seems to have issues.
Legionwood: Final Edition released!
It's pretty much as you remember it, if you've played it before - just with less bugs, a new area or two and new dialogue. My main intention was to update the writing, and I've wanted to do that for a while.
By the way, if you download the version I uploaded today, you'll be able to unlock a special "true Castoth" final boss if you defeat the Rift Entity and then complete the final dungeon :)

Hi Darc, good to see you back! Hmm, yes, there might still be a typo or two in there - I did rewrite pretty much every line of text, so may have introduced some new ones. Gameplay and technical bugs should all be ironed out by now (except for the party system being broken and allowing you to have five characters, which I intentionally left in because some people actually use it in a tactical capacity).
Play through Legionwood 1 if you haven't already (since you've followed it pretty much from the start) and don't worry about testing - just enjoy it, and I don't intend to make any more updates, anyway.
Now, Legionwood 2, on the other hand... when the next Beta's out, I'll call on you :)

Beta Build 2.0 is now playing!
I'm using the 64 bit version of both VX and VX Ace and they seem to work fine for me. Updating the first game into VX Ace's engine would be a good idea, since it would allow me to easily fix a few issues, but I'm not sure how that would be done.
That said, there is an updated version of the original Legionwood incoming in the next few days.

Hmm, does seem as if the link's broken. Just click the "media" tab at the top of this page - you'll find the videos there instead.
Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords
That's intentional. All of my games come unencrypted. Essentially, it makes for a smaller filesize, plus people can decrypt *RM games these days anyway, so why not leave the game open to anyone who wants to have a look inside and see how it's done?

Come on, the puzzle isn't that hard. I'm sure you can work it out. If not, the answer is given earlier in this comment thread.
